What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

When discussing goals, I always recommend small, sustainable lifestyle changes. If your fitness and diet plan aren't sustainable long-term, then neither are your results. Being fit and healthy isn't a 'phase,' it's a journey and a long one at that. It won't always be easy, but it will be rewarding when those choices become habits and those habits create a realistic, balanced lifestyle that you enjoy. Fit and healthy looks different on every body. It's not the same size, shape, or weight.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness has built my confidence and belief that I can do absolutely anything I set my mind to. Fitness helps me SHOW UP every single day. I love the quote "If you aren't showing up for yourself, who are you showing up for?" It has transformed my mindset. By putting my mental and physical health first, I show up as the BEST version of myself for my friends, family, and clients.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I have two dreams: one would be to go back to school and get my Masters/PhD in Nutrition. This would allow me to continue educating people with real, sustainable nutrition facts. The second dream is to create my own nutrition supplement line for people who want transparent labels and real ingredients. I picture it corresponding with nutrition education and giving people the knowledge of WHAT they need and WHY they need it.
