Everybody is different and so is every BODY! Fitness is not a one-size fits all, actually, most things aren't! What works for one, may not work for another! Give it time, find what works for YOU. Love and acceptance are key, especially postpartum. Your body can do amazing things, but going back to what it was before it housed and birthed a baby is unfair. Learn to love those scars and stripes, you earned them. And put the mom guilt to the side, taking care of you IS taking care of them!
Gym is my therapist, and the weights remind me of how strong I am both mentally and physically. They help me fight my past which includes some scary monsters like depression, anxiety, emotional abuse and abandonment by my Father. As a working Mom of three, life is crazy, fitness helps me feel like I at least have control over one thing in my life. Becoming a Pro Bikini Athlete has taught me patience, discipline and a whole lot of trust. Seeing your hard work payoff is totally worth it!
I would put some of the money towards my next Pro competition and my coaching business so I could reach even more women with my story, a little towards a belated 10-year anniversary getaway with the Hubs and the rest would go to a swimming pool that me and the boys could dominate the summer in!
