Amber Lamontagne

I’m a 38 year old mom to two amazing little girls. I love being active and pushing myself to new levels of health and fitness.

Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Amber Lamontagne and her voters for helping us donate to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Living a healthy lifestyle is a journey not a sprint. Avoid fad diets and quick fixes. Life has to be about balance but learn to love and care for your body. Most importantly don’t give up on yourself!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I love feeling strong and being a role model for my little ladies. I also face several genetic health issues. I’ve recovered from a brain surgery to repair a genetic malformation and I have osteopenia (pre osteoporosis). I understand more than most the importance of keeping a healthy body so I can be around to watch my beautiful girls grow into amazing young women.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

When I had my girls I realized my reason for being here. Being a mother is by far my greatest role in life and I want to provide my sweeties with the things they need. I am a single mom and I get to have my girls most of the time. If I won Ms Health & Fitness I would set back the money for my girls future.
