What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Put yourself first. Being selfish isn’t always a bad thing. As a woman it is often tough to realize that making yourself the number one priority, is the best thing for you. You will never regret a workout or a healthy meal so why not start your journey to a healthy body and mind. Your life will forever be more positive and happy if you take the time to care about yourself.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I used to be extremely overweight and unhealthy both mentally and physically. I allowed people to take advantage of me and my kindness in ways that were detrimental to my future. After being in a long term relationship that ended after I was cheated on, lied to and stolen from, I vowed to take myself seriously and never settle for anything less than greatness. I started hitting the gym and eating healthy. 85 pounds down but still strong in both mind and body.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would invest in a business to help women across the globe reach their goals for health and fitness. Once I found a coach and mentor to assist me in my weightloss journey my mindset changed and my success skyrocketed. I want to provide the same motivation and inspiration to women everywhere. I will do everything in my power to help women realize how capable they truly are.
