★ DECIDE you want to be healthy & fit, and focus on one day at a time, one meal at a time, one workout at a time ★ Do it because you LOVE your body, not because you hate it ★ Find a mentor with the results you want and ask - model what they do ★ Drink LOTS of water ★ Eat whole foods, mostly animal protein, veggies, and healthy fats ★ Ditch sugar ★ Schedule fitness daily like an appointment ★ Lift weights - Muscle shapes your body and burns more calories 24/7 ★ Have accountability buddies

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness has changed my life! Not only a body transformation, but it's helped me overcome alcohol addiction, anxiety/depression, and helped me gain confidence in all areas of life. I'm in the best shape of my life at 53 and plan to continue this journey until the day I die. Muscle & healthy eating are the fountain of youth! Fitness has also brought so many amazing people into my life through my online communities on IG & FB, and I'm passionate about paying it forward and helping others.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

As the 2018 Ms. Health & Fitness I would use the $20,000 to get more specialized health care for my daughter who has Graves Disease, and pay off existing medical bills.
