What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

In order to achieve something you have never had you have to do something you have never done. For those looking to be fit and healthy I definitely recommend starting outside your box or comfort zone. I had never lifted weights before when I started my fit lifestyle. Nor did I eat egg whites, but now I love them. I was totally skeptical, but took progress pictures. Take small steps in the right direction to a healthier fit new you, it doesn’t happen over night.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness is part of my everyday life. After taking the kids to school I hit the gym, getting in a good sweat session in the morning really helps jump start my day. I always feel refreshed and ready to take on my next task. Since living fit I have gained better control of my left arm/shoulder that has nerve damage, and it is not significantly smaller than my right arm anymore. I’m more energetic with my kids than before my 50lb transformation too.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, I hadn’t even thought about it. Didn’t know that was a “prize” lol but I’ll take it. I truly wanted to share my story and success with other women out there who think they are stuck trying diet after diet when a true lifestyle change is what may work. I would love to use the prize to continue to convey my message, and maybe a beach trip!
