Natascha Roosli

I am no model or fitness professional. I am a gamer, an over 40 year old and a multiple sclerosis sufferer trying to inspire and motivate :)

Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Natascha Roosli and her voters for helping us donate $179,724.93 to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Don't let the things you can't do influence the things you can do! Start small, with small goals and don't pressure yourself into big changes. Everyone struggles with motivation and starting a workout. Remember that everyone is fighting their own fights and if something looks and feels easy, it won't get you were you want to go. In adopting a healthier and fitter lifestyle, you should be the only person you compete against, no one else matters but you and your progress. Any progress is progress.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

It has literally given me my life back. Ever since changing my eating habits and starting to work out my fatigue has a less tight grip on my life. Working out also works as an outlet for my frustration with having to live with a chronic disease. Getting stronger and fitter is also a way for me to show Multiple Sclerosis that I am still the one in charge of my body. I feel it will also make it harder for the disease to damage my system the stronger I am :)

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

Honestly, I don't know but part I would like to donate to the Norwegian MS foundation. A) I don't expect to win this at all and B) I am not in this for the money. I simply hope that just the fact that someone like me is part of a competition like this, is an inspiration for those who feel that changing their lifestyle for the better is too big of a challenge for them. I hope it shows them that everything is possible :)
