Q&A

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I would recommend to do what works for yourself and sticking to the basic moves that have worked for decades. Today, there are so many fad diets and workout plans that women do not know where to start. This is confusing for people trying to start their journey. Squats, deadlifts, bench press, and rows are basic movements that have been around forever and will never die. They are efficient and that is why they last. Being fit & healthy is a lifestyle, not a diet.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

The gym is my release. After a stressful day at work or school and I need to blow off steam, I just head to the gym. Healthy diet makes me feel at my best. The gym and healthy diet has really helped me to overcome insecurities and create positive habits. This sounds corny, but when everything else went wrong, the gym was always there. I can escape everything else and just focus on myself and my goals during a workout.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I were the next Ms Health and Fitness I would first use the money to get a certification in group fitness. I really would like to coach group fitness. I would save the rest of the money until I graduate and am able to open my own training facility. Owning an athletic training facility has been a dream of mine for a long time.
