Listen to your body. Many people think that to be healthy you have to do a bunch of cardio and eat practically nothing. That is not at all accurate. Take in a solid amount of calories. Take in carbs and fats - there are healthy carbs and fats! Make sure you are giving yourself the nutrients you need especially if you are active! And weight lifting has so many benefits. Try out switching it up between cardio and weight lifting and see how your body changes!How does fitness positively influence your life?
I started lifting weights in college. The anxiety of my school work was overwhelming and the only thing that put my mind at ease was working out. I tried using antidepressants and anti anxiety medication but nothing worked the way exercise did. It is scientifically proven that working out helps with deprsssion and anxiety. My physical and mental health have benefited from fitness. It’s not just about the numbers on the scale, but how you feel all around.If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?
I would like to create a program for young athletes whose families cannot pay for them to play sports. School teams, travel teams, etc all have fees that can really add up. Equipment and trainings are also expensive. I do not think a child should miss out on something as beneficial as playing a sport because of money. I’ll put the $20,000 towards creating this program.
