If you're new to health and fitness, I suggest setting small, achievable goals; you are more likely to stick with your new plan this way. (So rather than "I won't eat anything unhealthy" try "I will cut out deep-fried foods"). Be sure to be active most days, even if it's simply a brisk walk or a few laps at the pool. Choose activities you enjoy and perhaps even try something new - you might find something you really love! I used to be a chubby, school teacher with little energy. It wasn't 'til I took that first scary step into a gym (something I'd NEVER done before) that my life started improving. Not only did I gain more energy, but I became a happier individual. I learned new skills and met great people every day, & others were starting to comment on the positive changes in my body! Competence builds confidence, and so today I am a confident, exuberant and fulfilled fitness and yoga instructor. If I were to win the $20,000 I would invest it in my two businesses, NeuroFit Technogies and Lorraine Korobanik Fitness (the latter of which is JUST starting out!) Such a gift would allow me to buy some much-needed equipment to better assist my clients, whom I wish to keep inspiring...if I can turn my life around in my late 40's, anyone can!
