Nutrition & proper portion sizes are important. Strive for short term goals & reward yourself upon conquering them, then continue setting goals. Find exercises that you enjoy doing & partner up. I have been involved in fitness & athletics my entire life. Eating healthy & training consistently helps me sleep better & gives me the energy that I need to be a good mom, wife, business owner & just generally makes me happy. Being physically strong has helped me overcome some major emotional obstacles in my life by using fitness as an outlet. As a personal trainer I derive deep satisfaction in coaching others & helping them achieve their own fitness & wellness goals.If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?
If I were the next Ms Health and Fitness, I would donate a significant portion of my winnings to Autism Speaks Canada. My youngest son was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 years old. He is now 16 & thriving, however there is still so much that we as a society don't know about spectrum disorders & the funding is extremely helpful. I would also deposit the money into my children's university educational plans.
