What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I recommend that people eat a whole foods plant based diet 98% of the time and do what exercise he or she enjoys with a combo of strength training and foam rolling to prevent injury.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness is the start of my day. The goals I set for lifting is what gets me through the day. I love lifting and seeing just how much weight I can push myself to lift, squat, pull, push that day. Running, cardio and spin biking is what improves my mood.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would first pay off my student loans, having graduated in 2016 with a bachelors of science in Environmental Science. I would put the rest into my savings in the hope to open an animal sanctuary one day to foster dogs for adoption, old dogs who are struggling to find homes, horses who need homes and good care especially those that are unwanted, and farm animals who have were saved from slaughter.
