What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Quiet the noise. There is always going to be the next fad, newest program, or sexy trend in fitness and health, but when you learn about your body, trust yourself & find out what works best for YOU, you find a place of sustainability & consistency. Instead of hating your body, my hope for all my clients is to help educate them on not only their workouts & nutrition, but on digestion, mental health, & cortisol levels. It's about STICKING WITH IT, not quick results.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

For most of my life, I hated my body. I wanted to change it, to be someone else. Finding out how strong my body is & what it can do changed that narrative forever. Fitness is an extension of who I am, not because I am constantly motivated to move and workout, but because when I do make it a priority, everything in my life falls into place. I am reminded how capable I am and it translates into every aspect of my life: my work, my relationships, and my quality of life.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

After 8 years as a personal trainer and online fitness entrepreneur, I took the leap to open my very own 24/7 Strength & Conditioning hybrid gym in Denver, Colorado: Platform Strength. While I am so beyond excited, I am committed to a debt-free approach across my five businesses while providing the very best experience for my community. This $20,000 will go directly to providing the most bad-ass equipment and environment for every person who is a part of my gym.
