What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I would recommend to others who want to be "fit and healthy" just to… take the first step! The hardest part of a fit lifestyle is just the beginning. Once you establish waking up early, eating healthy, drinking enough water, exercising, getting enough rest, being organized and embracing a new lifestyle... it all falls into place. It'll become a habit, a routine.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness has always been one of the most influential parts of my life since I was young! The greatest thing about fitness is you control the outcome. As much as you put into it… you will get out of it! It takes true heart and discipline to live a fully healthy lifestyle, but once you do, you'll never look back. I believe every person deserves a little "me time." My husband, a NJ State Trooper, and I train every day together… it's our "me" time together!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If won the next Ms. Health and Fitness, I would use the prize money to start a foundation for the Veterans. Boots to business so to speak. I would want to help them become entrepreneurs and enjoy a healthy lifestyle at the same time. Our Veterans already have the discipline, work ethic, character and loyalty to do it… they just may need a little guidance in how to power forward and establish their new life as a business owner and fitness enthusiast.
