The best thing you can do for your fitness journey is BE CONSISTENT. After all, it is what you do consistently that affects your progress most! Develop a sustainable lifestyle (no quick fixes!) that contributes to your goals, and allows you to enjoy your LIFE! Don't be afraid to try new things, and, most importantly--HAVE FUN!How does fitness positively influence your life?
Fitness is truly a lifestyle for me as it is also my job. Helping others reach their goals is truly rewarding. Of course, strength training and competing (both in powerlifting meets at the national level, and in professional figure competitions) make me a physically strong person, and I love the physique I have built! However, strength training has also served as my first defense against depression in the past, and currently helps me manage anxiety.If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?
If I win this competition, I will invest a small portion of the money back into my business, allowing me to continue helping women all over the world "Find Their Strength," by providing resources and directing local powerlifting events. I would use the majority of the money to partner with women's fitness organizations, such as Smart Fit Girls and the Women's Strength Coalition, to help them accomplish their mission of spreading strength and positivity to women everywhere.
