What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Find something active that you can have fun doing. Take a class, go for hikes, try rock climbing! Lifting weights and getting in a great sweat session works for me, but I also love to dance, hike or bike, or create my own workout circuits with whatever I have around me outside to change things up. Find that thing that gets you motivated and excited! Results aren’t instantaneous so you need to love the process just as much as you love your results.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

It gives me drive and purpose. I feel as though I’ve accomplished something great after every session & it has truly helped me to create a balanced and healthy lifestyle for myself. Because I work out I eat healthier, I sleep better, I am more disciplined in many areas of my life because the results are wonderful and addicting! And nowadays I’m not afraid to eat a pizza and indulge once in a while, because I know my process will keep me healthy, strong, and loving my reflection!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

My fiancé met and fell in love because of our passion for fitness and tattoos! It was what our first conversations were about, and he is actually a British citizen whereas I’m American, so I would use it to help us start our life together once we’re legally married! We both want to inspire those around us to live a happy, healthy lifestyle that fits them, and I believe the prize would help us establish ourselves to be able to work towards that goal!
