What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Find a community that supports you. You may have to join a dozen gyms, take a hundred classes, but you will find where you belong. Your community, and who you surround yourself with in the fitness industry is crucial to your success (both in and out of the gym). With the digital age, you can find this community online as well. Join a Facebook group, a forum, read about various peoples journeys, connect with like-mined individuals and immerse yourself in different cultures.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Strength saved me, and thousands of others, and those stories need to be heard. When training and life gets tough, giving up is the easy option. It’s in the midst of your failure, that you must dig deep and find your passion, the invincible passion that will carry you through. This title, for me, is all about representing my authentic-self and helping guide others on their pursuit of strength and breaking stereotypes

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I will be giving back $5,000 to the Jared Allen foundation as I have a strongman friend in the navy seal whose house is being build by this foundation.. For the rest of the funds, I will be utilizing social media so that the audience can best tell me where these funds should go, as I have hundreds of ideas. A long-term goal is to set up a scholarship fund for deserving individuals.
