What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

My most important recommendation that I make to ALL people interested in making a lifestyle change is to approach it in a realistic, attainable, and SUSTAINABLE way! There are far too many gimmicks floating around in the fitness industry produced to do nothing but confused and take advantage of people who are desperate to make a change. Setting realistic fitness goals and finding what works for YOU to find balance in your life is what will create long- term results both mentally and physically!

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Fitness is my outlet. I know it sounds cliché, but being active is my escape. It is what I use to handle the anxiety which I struggle with as well as what I use to prove to myself that I CAN do anything I set my mind to! My fitness journey has helped my life immensly in the aspects of self confidence and self worth and has allowed me to learn how strong I truly am!

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I were to become the next Ms Health and Fitness, the $20,000 would help go toward my education. I am currently in graduate school to obtain a masters degree in occupational therapy- a field which I am extremely passionate about. I intend to use my education to help others develop or regain loss skills to help them be able to participate in the functional daily tasks which are meaningful to them. This $20,000 would help me do that- it would help me change lives, forever!
