What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

I always encourage people to dig deep to find "WHY" they want to be fit and healthy. Achieving optimal health is more than just physical health, it is also spiritual, mental, emotional, and social health. When you find the "why" the how is easy. Do you want to be active when you retire, be able to play with your grandchildren, prevent disease, feel confident, travel, or even fight back from disease? When you find your "why" write it down and place it somewhere yo

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Throughout my life I have faced various challenges and I believe that movement has healed me. After losing my brother to cancer at 29, I have dedicated my entire career to positively changing people's lives through healthy living. I have found emotional, physical, and spiritual strength through movement. When I faced stage 3 cancer myself, I trained for America Ninja Warrior while I was going through chemotherapy and radiation and competed four months after I finished treatment.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

My vision is to open an integrative health facility to blend Eastern and Western philosophies with a focus on mindset, nutrition, and movement. I will offer retreats to cancer patients and survivors a well as all individuals to help people heal and move towards optimal health. The $20,0000 would amazing to help move closer to making my vision a reality.
