What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

There is a plethora of information and tools on the internet on healthy eating tips, and exercise programs. If you are a procrastinator, I suggest asking a friend who may be into fitness for some advice, or even hire a personal trainer to help you create some fitness/health goals and start you on a program. Exercise is key to becoming healthy and fit! Even if you only have 10 mins in a day. Ten minutes is better than no minutes! Incorporate a regular exercise routine into your daily/weekly life

How does fitness positively influence your life?

I use exercise as a way to combat stress. Exercise increases the production of endorphins which are known to help produce positive feelings. The gym is my happy place! I have developed many lifelong friendships through my fitness journey and my regular fitness routines. Exercising keeps my body young. As I age, I want to ensure that I can continue to live a healthy pain free and illness free life.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

As a national level competitor, mom, busy career woman, and fit in my 40’s lady, I get asked a lot for health, career and fitness advice. I have considered becoming a life coach in the past and have looked into various courses. I would use the money to get my life coaching certificate and start my own business. My true passion is inspiring other people to live a healthier life, especially women over 40 who feel that with kids and a career that this might not be possible.
