What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

To do your research and find a local health facility that can help support, motivate and encourage you in a safe, effective and time efficient manner. Some people are self motivated and can go to a traditional gym while others need a group fitness atmosphere in order to help them achieve their goals. Start with small short term achievable goals for yourself and set aside a workout time during the week that would work best with your schedule. Make yourself a priority.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

My career, and essentially my whole life, is centered around fitness and health promotion. I am the proud owner of two small group fitness studios called Howe Fit Kingsville and Howe Fit - Harrow since the age of 19. Being able to combine my passion for fitness and food education has allowed me to help enhance the lives of thousands of clients at my studios and online coaching business.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

If I was fortunate to be crowned the next Ms Health and Fitness, I would use the $20,000 to purchase two full body composition scanners for both of my studio locations. Having these machines would help me provide a higher level of service to my studio and personal training clients giving them a better understanding of their actual body composition. The scale is not the best indicator of ones progress so this would allow my clients to see their progress from a different perspective.
