Ms. Health and Fitness and Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors would like to thank Adah Ortega and her voters for helping us donate $179,724.93 to our injured United States military veterans!

What would you recommend to others who want to be fit and healthy?

Your "why" has to be solid. You have to be inspired to make a change in your life and find the value in good health. Health is the only true wealth and we have to focus more on how we treat and invest in the only home that we truly live in; our bodies. Start off with fun activities with friends that don't feel so much like work outs. Go biking on the beach, hike up a scenic route, try a rock climbing wall, play dance dance revolution at the arcade... anything that gets you moving.

How does fitness positively influence your life?

Working out releases endorphins into your body which triggers a positive feeling through out your body. That positive energy is a catalyst for better choices. My lifestyle has changed for the better. Fitness has changed my life. It's taught me discipline and work ethic. I have a deeper respect for myself and I am always looking for ways to become STRONGER and healthier. There is no greater investment than your well being. You are your priority so that you are always strong enough to help others.

If you were the next Ms Health and Fitness, what would you do with $20,000?

I would love to launch my personal training business, which is centered around empowering women and helping them find their inner confidence!
